Product Description

Bisphenol S is used in the Epoxy Resin coating in food and beverage cans to protect food from direct contact with metal and prevent metal cans and aluminum boxes from being corroded by food raw materials. It is commonly used in packaging milk powder, meat products and surimi products. Bisphenol s plays two main roles. One is that the epoxy resin coating is easy to retain hydrochloric acid in the polymerization process and can be neutralized by bisphenol S. the other is that the foods in direct contact are mostly acidic and greasy substances. Bisphenol s can replace the epoxy resin coating and give priority to the reaction of water, acid and other substances in food, so as to improve the stability of the coating and avoid the corrosion of metal materials in contact with food. Bisphenol s is a chromogenic agent in thermal paper. The European Commission claims that 30% of thermal paper enters the waste paper recycling stream. So many paper products, such as kitchen paper and food cartons (pizza cartons, instant noodles cups, popcorn cans, etc.) are made of recycled paper. Therefore, the recycling of thermal paper makes BPS enter the circular production system of paper, and then pollutes food and paper products. Bisphenol s is one of the synthetic monomers of polyethersulfone. Polysulfone is an amorphous, thermoplastic resin. Because of its high polymer material structure, it has toughness, transparency and very high heat resistance (continuous service temperature can be as high as 180 degrees and instantaneous high temperature can be as high as 220 degrees), It has light weight, good mechanical properties, high impact fracture resistance, high chemical resistance, excellent hydrolysis stability and good microwave permeability. Therefore, it is increasingly widely used in tableware for high-temperature heating and repeated high-temperature heating. For example, in baby bottles, aviation dinner plates, microwave cooking utensils, non stick pot coating (polyethersulfone can be coated on cookers alone or in combination with fluoropolymer to make non stick pots), hot water pipe joints and some small household appliances kitchenware (egg cookers, popcorn pots, coffee makers, etc.) that need thermal processing.
